Front exterior at Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at BirchcrestWhen you walk into our funeral home, we want you to feel welcome. The lobby has a warm and inviting fireplace that crackles with a fire on cold days. Our beautiful funeral chapel accommodates groups of 100 or more with flexible seating that can be arranged to meet your needs. Traditional in style and designed to evoke a peaceful feeling, the large foyer skylight lets in lots of natural light.

We view a funeral service as a time to celebrate life and our chapel as a space to do that. Intentionally decorated very simply, it allows you to incorporate themes, passions, hobbies and other elements that tell the story of the person being honored.

We celebrate life

No two lives are alike, and thus, no two funeral services should be alike. At Waring Sullivan Birchcrest Funeral and Cremation Service, we believe that each funeral or memorial service should be as singular as the person being celebrated. Our team specializes in creating unique and memorable tributes that reflect a person’s individuality. From parking antique motorcycles in our chapel to throwing a New England Patriots-themed event to hosting a disco party with costumes and '70s music to displaying replicas of a loved one’s favorite impressionist paintings, there are as many ways to celebrate a life as stars in the sky. How will you honor your loved one’s legacy?

History

For nearly 50 years, Waring Sullivan Birchcrest Funeral and Cremation Service has served the funeral needs of southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Located at the parkside crest of our countryside crossroad of Route 6 and Gardners Neck Road, the original building was attractively accented by several birch trees.

In 1971, Thomas J. Ashton and Sons united with the Waring family forming Waring-Ashton.

In 1997, after the tragic loss of the building from a fire, the funeral home was rebuilt. designed to take care of people of all religions and traditions. It is our promise to continue our longstanding tradition of compassionate care and personalized funeral service for years to come.
